The Prague’s Barrel is an amateur football tournament for high spirit players from all over the world. The aim is mainly to have fun, enjoy positive atmosphere, get to know new friends and get thirsty. :) Despite this is necessary to set up basic rules of the tournament in order to get the winners.
Basic rules (7-a-side –men,women)
- We apply the basic football rules of FIFA,
- the playtime is 2×20 minutes,
- the goals dimensions are 5x2m,
- the dimension of the pitch is approx. 35x50m,
- the number of alternates is unlimited,
- in the core group you get 3 points for winning, 1 point for draw, in case there’s a draw in play-off – first 3 penalties, then 1 penalty at time,
- the referee will not allow substitution if the aim is to delay the game,
- off-side is not applied,
- it’s banned to use metal studs on synthetic surface,
- all matches on both artificial and synthetic surfaces are played with ball of size 5 with standard rebound,
- player who gets two yellow or one red card isn’t allowed to play the consecutive match,
- it’s banned to destroy the pitch (cigarette butts etc.),
- every player plays at his/her own risk – the organizer provides only the basic medical care,
- players play for one team only during the whole tournament – lending players is allowed only with permission of referee and captain of the opposite team prior the match,
- we respect the basic rule: FAIR PLAY.
Basic rules (35+ category)
- 7-a-side football tournament (rules as stated below).
- This category will be open only if there are at least 6 teams enrolled, otherwise the teams will be playing in the usual open category.
- A player is eligible if they turn 36 years old during the calendar year of the competition.
- Younger Players (Under-Age): A maximum of 2 players under 36 years old are allowed on the team’s roster.
Out of these, only 1 under-age player is permitted on the field at any given time during the match. - Teams that violate the rule of having more than 1 underage player on the field will be penalized with a 3-0 forfeit.
- Proof of age must be submitted to the organizer before the tournament.
Game model
The game model and the advanced key will be set prior to the tournament according to the number of enrolled teams. Generally, every team plays at least 3 matches within the group the first day, the second day play-off or within the group for final placing.
